I used the stitches to create some symmetrical designs. 
First I created a single petal, using various stitches to fill in the shape. Then I duplicated and repeated the petal to create a lotus flower. The interaction of the colors makes it look lacy. 

Next, I took the shape made by the orbit of Venus (see below) and decided to use the stitches to follow the lines and fill in the shapes. But first, I simply used the running stitch to create the orbit.

When I used different stitches, it was interesting to see how the project looked like folk art made in Rajasthan.
