Neurographic Snail

Neurographic Snail - image 1 - student project

Started the day super-stressed. Decided to swatch out a new pan of paints.  Couldn't resist doing a swatch-out/neurographic art crossover. It wasn't long before I was chilling. Got all the lines softened... Ahhhhh! I hadn't planned farther ahead  than using color on this second neurographic piece. To finish, I added white dots around the piece then started using white to emphasize areas where the softening made a sort of mark. I put marks in a few places where colors were alike. Didn't use marks in all areas to keep it less cluttered. End result: what looked like a colorful snail and -- bonus! -- a more relaxed painter. Thanks for your wonderful classes, Judy  -- PS Eager to try some of the other techniques you demo'd and have watched 3rd class, so that will also be created soon.
