Sewing a custom tote bag

This class was perfect for my first solo project on my very first sewing machine. I have made a tote bag previously in a sewing class, but it was a really helpful reminder to refresh the steps. I had lino printed my own repeat pattern onto a thick cotton for a previous project, the design was inspired by a trip to Aviemore with my partner and cocker spaniel. The fabric and pattern was a trial run, so there are some errors, but I didn't want to waste the fabric and thought it perfect to make a tote bag out of it. I didn't have any webbing to make the handles, so I made them out of left over fabric. Jessica had showed us how to manually move the needle if the fabric is too thick, which was really helpful to me.
