Thankfully, I came across this class and was able to brave finishing this sketch. I wasn't familiar with how saturated the ink for the Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils is. I made it too dark when I had already set the values. And wasn't using watercolour paper either. But I think I was able to save this piece.
