Graphit-Abstracts – Erstelle ausgefeilte Abstracts mit Gansai Tambi Graphit-Pfannen

Denise is one of my favorite teachers, and if I had more time, I would def do some of the long classes! She is tops!

Carmen! You are THE Skillshare Wonder I wanna be when I get artistic! Did you actually have to buy Gansai Graphic pans, or could you substitute?

I had these graphite paints already.  The class is about water soluable graphite but I guess you can make marks with other products. Denise has classes on all kinds of supplies. Is pick your poison.

What a fun project! With so many different types of art supplies to explore it is hard to remember what you already have.

Like the paints. I don't have these.  These abstracts  are like the old sailing ships to my eye. Keep going Carmen :)

Yes, top right is definitely an old pirate ship! You're getting good at finding narrative in the paint Jennifer haha! I can see an interesting figure beneath your ship. ;) I see a little face (eye socket, bottom of the nose and a sort of pig tail on the left of her head. Oh and a top hat even. 😁

 I am looking for some kind of narrative in just about evrything now Jerney. But it makes art  more fun :)

I love that moment of surprise when you realize you already had the supplies — it’s like finding hidden treasure in your own studio! These graphite abstracts have such a moody, earthy elegance to them, and I really like how your marks are layered into the washes. Even if they feel similar to you, there's a lovely rhythm happening across the page that holds them together in a really cohesive way. Abstract marks definitely loosen up with play and repetition, so keep going and let your hand surprise you. You’re off to a beautiful start already!

I watched this and said I will order those water colors and pencils. Well turns out I had them already! So much stuff I order and never use.
More experimenting needed as I am not great at creating abstract marks. They all seem to be the same.
