Watercolor Abstract Landscapes

I thoroughly enjoyed this watercolor, abstract landscape exercise. It taught me a lot about watercolor layering. I started with light, translucent paint and gradually added more layers after the initial layer dried. Although I usually prefer not to have pencil marks in my artwork unless it’s clearly abstract, this exercise effectively highlighted some of the rocky surfaces. Overall, it was a lot of fun.Watercolor Abstract Landscapes - image 1 - student project
