<p>Hi Dee Anne, well done on completing the class and thank you for sharing your lovely project. It’s a beautiful painting just as it is. You have achieved some great colour and strong tones in the petals, which contrast beautifully with the delicate light stamens. Also, very nice shades of green in the leaves. Overall, it’s a vivid painting with a lot of depth and balance. so you could leave it without a background, but if you do decide to add one make sure it’s abstract in appearance and has some of the strong petal tones in it in order to harmonise with what you’ve already created. If you’re really unsure what to do, why not paint the foreground on a piece of spare paper, then cut it out and lay it over the painting just to see how that looks. Then if you like it you can repeat on the painting itself otherwise keep it as it is. Hope that helps and best wishes, Carrie.</p>

Thank you Carrie for your very useful feedback.  I am never very confident about my artwork so what you have said has made me feel good.  I love your teaching methods. 

<p>I have picked up my watercolours after focusing mostly on Digital art with Procreate.  I have really enjoyed this class.  I would like  to put a ground on the flowers but a bit nervous that I might spoil it.  I must confess I've got used to painting in procreate and being able to delete with a press!  Any advice will be welcome. </p>
