Slow-fi coverart is you is

I was intrigerd by this class, it's something I have never done before. After watching the class, I did a deep dive in what I wanted to create. My father plays the bassguitar and music for me is tied to him. And all of a sudden, everything came togheter and it got pretty deep😅

We used to watch Tom and Jerry when I was a kid. Tom, always chasing the mouse, never succeeding, my dad never succeeding in music even though it was his world. So, I kind of made this cover as if he did succeed, by the publisher "unexplored potential records". In one episode of Tom and jerry there is this song, "is you is, or is you aint my baby', originally by Louis Jordan, the Tom and Jerry cover by Ira Woods. My father was my father, the "artist" but never a dad, title "is you is, or is you ain't". Tom plays a contrabass, but I made the Warwick bassguitar my father has. I used the colours from an album of Louis Jordan and his big eyes.

The process was really fun, but because it was tied to my dad, it took me a while to finish. I think I will try this again sometime!
