Thank you for sharing your lovely cute characters with me. I'm glad that the different media you're used to didn't hold you back to commence illustrating these kids. I thought this would work great with colored pencils, and it did. I like your eye-catching color combinations, they are truly diversified. I also like that you've used your own style, and added further details to your drawings like the nose, the glasses, or the blush on the face, as well as different hair styles. You did bring these characters to life. I'd also like to say thank you for the kind words in your review. Figure drawing improves our skills in so many ways. The more characters you draw, the more you will feel it. Simplification is also a fundamental skill in art. Actually, I find it fascinating how we can express more with less. Anyway, keep up the good work. 🙂

Thank you so much for your kind words. I had a lot of fun experimenting with different hairstyles and tiny noses. I’ll definitely keep drawing and practicing simplification. This class was a joy to take part in.

I decided to work with colored pencils since they feel more natural to me than watercolor. I chose to focus on simple portraits — and I really enjoyed the process of bringing each little character to life.
