Far from Perfect, but Trying
I looooved taking this class. It brought back to me something that I rarely consider when choosing colors: feelings. At times I get caught up trying to make my palettes harmonious, and cohesive that I forget about the most basic element, the feelings a color can evoke. I even made a note on my journal to not forget about it again.
Now this was quite a challenge for me because I could not find a solid reason to be inspired by summer, because I am not particularly fond of the season ( mostly because of the weather) so while I was looking for some inspo to my surprise I found out that something that I really love about summer is the playfulness of it, and so I got my idea of creating something related to a pool party. It is incredible how I sometimes forget to see the good in the bad (My journal will definitely hear about this)
So I wanted to capture the playful colors of summer and I followed the steps which I looooved. Thank you so much for sharing you tips on how to narrow down the endless options. This is something that I am definitely applying next time!
Now I gotta be honest, I am not exactly happy with the result of my palette, I think I still don't know how to find mid colors, but your guide made it a bit easier. I feel like this palette is far from perfect, but I am trying. More often than not I find myself holding onto a project for quite a bit cause I wanna keep making modifications, but this time I thought to myself "It's okay if it's not "finished" or it's okay if it turned out to be not entirely of my liking, I can always come back to it, and change it, but it's important to let go of it" and that's when I remembered a quite I saw somewhere in the internet "It's okay to be seen trying" and so I was able to let it go and present something that is not perfect, but meaningful to me even with the voices in my head begging to go back and fix it until I fully like it. More often than not the real achivements are much more than technical and sometimes they hide in the so called failures.
All in all it was a great experience and I learnt a looooot! Thank you so much!!
