Color Alchemy Notes
I want to start by thanking Kriss for a gentle instruction. Learning about color at times feesl intimidating and overwhelming, but in this class I really felt guided all the time and I was able to follow step by step. I really appreciate the warmth in this clas! Thank you!
I've always wanted to learn about color, but honestly sometimes all the terminology made it feel more like chore than something enjoyable, but with this approach it was easier to navigate through all the basics, and what I really enjoyed about this lesson is that I could follow along step by step and I got to experience that joy of going around the colors. I was thrilled when I discovered how to get muted colors!!! for years I had been wondering and trying without much success and now that I know I feel like I know the formula of hapiness.
It was all rainbows and butterflies until I had to put it into practice on my own project. NGL it took my quite a bit and I had to go back to my written notes, and go back to the lessons to make sure I got it right. As I finished the project I realized I still have so much to learn and I can tell where contrast is just not there, but nowhere to be found, but I understand that it's all part of the process. The good thing is that I notice as I go on my projects that I am approching them with more curiousity than perfectionism which is a great victory for me.
I can't wait to learn more!
