I love ink, but I don't use it a lot. So this class was a good opportunity to play with ink and see what I can do with it. I focused on values and stopping before I think my painiting is done!

This is my practice piece in my sketchbook:

I chose winter florals to match the season ;)

And because it was a misty day I also experimentd with painting trees in the mist in ink.

My overall design (which turned out a bit too busy, a mistake I always make!):

I like this one better, it feels more balanced and I like the range of values. I do wish I had left more room at the bottom to paint a nice patterned vase!
