My Three Images
“Looking Up on the Kruzenshtern” — Sailing Trip

What I captured:
During a multi-day trip on the Kruzenshtern, I shot this upward angle to highlight details people normally miss — the flags, rigging lines, and the massive sail catching light.
Why it works:
Strong lines, layered elements, and the unusual perspective create a sense of scale and discovery.
Techniques:
-
Zoomed lens for dramatic verticals
-
Fast shutter (moving ship)
-
Slight underexposure for sail texture
-
Lightroom contrast + highlight control
“Night Hike — Stars Through the Trees”

What I captured:
Shot during a night hike on farmland. The star density surprised me — the trees add depth and anchor the frame.
Techniques:
-
Long exposure (20 sec)
-
Wide aperture
-
Higher ISO (balanced for noise)
-
Tripod
-
Brandon Woelfel–inspired editing: teal shadows, clarity, dehaze.
“Portrait in London — Lines & Composition”

What I captured:
A portrait of my friend on an overcast day — soft, even light. The lines of the wall, bench, and pose create a strong diagonal flow that feels almost golden-spiral-like–like.
Techniques:
-
Mid focal length
-
Wide aperture for separation
-
Slightly low angle to emphasize the pose
-
Minimal editing — exposure + gentle color tone
