Dynamic Collage though Texture
Recently I continued with week 4. I really enjoyed the past three weeks, but I needed to start in a new journal and I didn't have gel- and thickening mediums, so I found it difficult to stay in the creative motion. But, once creating again, I immediately felt the calming and grounding effect again.
Day 22: Textured Tapestry

This is madness! Ik wanted to try it all and in doing so, it didn't really came out feeling like me, or something I would create. I do like the beach and the wave. The rest is chaos :P

Day 23: Tactile Harmony

It took me a while to think of something to make cracks, since I don't have the proper medium for it. I used a folded paper to create the lines for the background and plaster for the thinker pieces on top. I love these colours.

Day 24: Threads and Textures

What!? Paint over patterned paper? But what if I ever want to use it, even though it’s been in my cupboard for 15+ years?! I loved this. I stitched over the existing lines and added fabric. The right side makes me think of a treasure map.

Day 25: String Symphony

What a lovely title, by the way! I loved the ghost prints Froyle made. For some reason, in mine I liked the outlines more. I didn’t want to add too much, because I loved the plain prints so much.

Day 26: Acrylic skins

It took so long to dry!!! But I love the results. I wanted to keep the atention on the skins, so I kept it simple. All the copper accents are acrylic skins and so are the 3 white flowers. I love that I could use one of the string prints again, because I had so many I loved!

Day 27: Kitchen paper textures

I tried all kinds of different things, but I loved the aluminium texture the best. The silver with black stripes on which the white string is on, is the aluminium I printed with. Again, I didn't want to add to much. Maybe the first day of this week I went a little overboard, and now I really enjoy the simplicity of the past few collages.

Day 28: Texture Party Collaboration

I love texture. It was really fun to put all the different textures together. I used some of the string prints, the kitchen textures, cracks, and acrylic skins.
I’m proud to say that when my daughter got to choose a present, she picked a collage journal so she could join me and have her own art journal!
