This is my first attempt at Stella's eyes, on a scrap piece of paper, so yes the proportions are off but I'm practicing tecinique. I've enclosed the reference photo I used, it's hard to see the color in her eyes since they look so dark. I didn't use gauche, only watercolor paints. I welcome any and all feedback, it's the only way to improve! 

Here's the finished painting; my daughter loves it, and didn't want the curtains in the background. I have lots of room for growth & improvement, but I wouldn't have had the courage to try without this class.
