I'm sorry to hear you've had a tough time of it lately and really glad this class could give you some ease. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your work - it's lovely! What materials did you use? I'm particularly intrigued by your sketchbook

I used a Winsor &amp; Newton field watercolor kit (the less expensive version), and was testing out some actually pretty terrible brushes - terrible because they shed like crazy and don't keep their shape *at all*. The brush I used here was a chunky pointed No. 3 mop brush (not sure if that's helpful because it's different from other mop brushes I have and numbering seems to be inconsistent). But because I was just being in the moment with the brushtrokes &amp; not trying to *acheive* anything, I wasn't frustrated by the brush - I was just observing it, and quietly seeing what it *could* do in spite of its poor quality.  As for the sketchbook, it's unusual for me, because I usually make my own! This one is a really cheapo sketchbook that was passed along to me &amp; originally came from Amazon under a no-name brand. It's not super sturdy, so I may end up reinforcing the spine, but it also lays open completely flat even though it's a fairly chunky little book (though clips still make it flatter). The paper is okay, but might be a smidge too thin to be able to use both sides of the page - not sure yet. So that might keep me from using this little book all that much...or maybe I'll just do non-wet stuff on the reverse sides. Despite its flaws, I still find the book oddly appealing! It was sold under the brand VZZNN in a kit with a tiny wooden palette...with acrylic paints instead of watercolor, oy. And I only got 1 waterbrush with it, not 3 - so I can't really recommend this item. OTOH, it's cheap, and the palette and sketchbook are still appealing, so...yeah. This class is exactly what I needed. It's been a rough few weeks, and this was so peaceful and encouraging. Thank you! I'm looking forward to trying this teachers's other classes.
