Premiere Pro vs Every Other Editor

Premiere Pro vs Every Other Editor - student project

For my example project, I created a short video where I compare Premiere Pro to a series of other editors — DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, After Effects, Blender, Sony Vegas, and more. It’s a simple format that’s performing really well right now, and it’s a great template for practicing timing, pacing, and sound design.

The whole point of this project is supporting the visuals with sound.

Every check mark has its own check sound.

Every icon movement has a matching whoosh.

And the background music gives the edit a bit more energy without overwhelming anything.

There’s nothing complicated here — no fancy techniques, nothing hidden behind expert tricks. It’s all about practice: matching sound to action, keeping the pacing clean, and building confidence with simple elements.

I hope this project shows you how approachable this style is. Try it, experiment, tweak the timing, layer your own sound effects, and make your version. The only way to level up your editing is to make more edits — so go create yours and upload it here.
