Watercolor for Beginners - Lavenders in the Evening Sun

<p>Hi Jonas, thank you so much for sharing your lovely painting! I must say that one of the things people usually struggle with in watercolor is low contrast, but you managed to create some beautiful depth using dark enough paint for the foreground in combination with the soft, light background. The wet on wet turned out beautifully as well, may I ask what kind of paper did you use? </p>

Thanks Jana for your comment. Perhaps it's because I'm an oil painter and I like strong color contrast as a Fauvist. The paper is  "BaoHong" 100% cotton 200g from China.

Thanks, I have BaoHong on my list of brands I want to try, it seems very nice. It's not very common here in EU, but I will look online.
