My friend has been going through horrendous health issues and is in a lot of pain. I asked her what her favorite flower was so when she said "red rose," I thought of giving her a painted version. This was very challenging for me so I just focused on values. I needed more yellow tones to relate to the gold frame. I got tired by the time I reached the leaves, so it is what it is. I hope she'll like it and that it brings a bright spot to her day.
