I completely enjoyed this class. I always struggle to paint loose. This class teaches those skills. All the projects are fun. The class feels like the teacher is sitting beside you at your art table teaching. As an added bonus this class also teaches the basics for drawing. It was mesmerizing to watch the teacher draw. She made it look so easy, but she taught the skills, so with practice it felt like anyone could learn to draw too.

Day 8 Bonus

I loved, loved, loved painting the Koi fish and water. I got totally lost in the process and before I knew it 2 hours had gone by. Felt like maybe 20 minutes. I love classes where I lose myself in the painting. I find those classes the best classes. Thank you for  really great classes and the challenge!!

Day 7

Before taking this class, I would have hesitated to paint parrots. Blending all those bright colors seemed like a mess of paint waiting to happen. But, when I got to Day 7 I didn't even hesitate to begin painted. This class with all its exercises and demos has given me the confidence to lay the colors down and just paint.  Not to over think just mix the colors I see and just paint.

 

Day 6

Really enjoyed painting the mushrooms.  I like the bright reds and greens. 

Day 5

 I have painted some flowers, but never felt very successful at it. I have always wanted to paint a rose, but have felt intimidated by the intricacies of the petals and the shading. The approach taught in this class was amazing. It made painting the rose achievable. Again, I surprised myself with this painting.

Day 4

I have never painted fruit. It has always seemed like it would be hard. The approach of laying colors down as you see them was very helpful. Then lifting and tweaking the colors when it dried really made it easy. I surprised myself on this painting. 

Day 3

Liked the bright color combination of the toucan. Could really get into splattering paint. Was starting to get the hang of laying down colors.

Day 2

Liked painting the ice cream. Felt like I was a little better at this. Enjoyed lifting the lines on the cone. Really have not done much lifting of color. 

Day 1

Not sure about painting loose. Loved the color combination of Prussian Green and Magenta, such a pretty mix. Painted this twice. Was not happy with either painting but decided to keep going.
