You’re Life Doesn’t End When You Turn 20

So, you turned 20...

Now what?

Your twenties can feel like you’re standing at a crossroad with a thousand paths ahead, and the Google Maps arrow keeps... spinning?

Everyone’s telling you what you should be doing: get a job, build your savings, get married, buy a house, have children... the list goes on. It’s like your whole life has been planned out for you up until you retire... at 80. Meanwhile, everyone around you seems to have it all figured out, while you’re just stuck, trying to follow the path and keep everyone happy. And in the process, you forget just to exist and appreciate life.

If this is you, welcome to The 20’s Diary. Turning 20 was like a kick to the gut– I didn’t realise how much would hit me so soon. I’ve felt every emotion you can think of; excitement for all the possibilities that come with the privilege of having so many paths, the fear of choosing the wrong path, and the pressure to have it all figured out. I’ve struggled just to make it from morning to night while watching friends seemingly achieve everything effortlessly leaving me to wonder, why not me?

Embrace the chaos

Turns out these feelings are universal. We’re not alone. That’s exactly why I started The 20s Diary newsletter. It’s a space for people like us, who are navigating the chaos of our 20s, trying to just live and exist, while figuring out how to “have it all” without losing ourselves along the way.

Each month, I share honest reflections, insights, and lessons from my journey as a 20-year-old at the start of their journey, trying to navigate life and make time for it all, whilst you get to be part of a community of likeminded individuals that celebrates wins, embraces the failure, and remind each other that it’s okay to not have it figured out yet.

Here’s to us

It’s okay to try new things and for them not to stick. Your twenties are meant to be messy, full of trial and error, relationship losses, and sometimes just being alone. It’s okay to be figuring it out, that’s what they’re for. That’s part of the adventure.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or want a refreshing, less perfect perspective of life, this is the place for you. Subscribe today, and let’s navigate this decade together –  one day, one experience, one lesson at a time.
