"Have you ever had something on your bucket list for years — and finally made it happen?

In this long-format vlog, I take you with me to my very first *roller derby event* in Toronto — as a wheelchair user with a torn rotator cuff— and it was wheelie_awesome! 🛞💥

I’ve wanted to experience roller derby since 2010, when I met the derby community at a masquerade-themed gala I volunteered at. This summer, one of the U of Toronto Aquatic staff, who's also in the Hogtown Roller Derby, invited me to **Fresh & the Furious**, their annual weekend-long tournament.

My friend Marco came with me to help film and access the venue, and I’m so grateful — together we captured:
