Gritty Newsprint Effect in Adobe Photoshop

Hey there, sorry I missed this! Good work, and thanks for sharing ... it's been years since I last watched Wall-E, but this makes me want to get and watch it again now! ;DYou could develop this further by adding additional typographic elements to turn it into a proper movie poster. For example the film's cast and crew as typically formatted on movie posters. I would probably also separate 'Pixar' from the title of the film, thereby meaning you won't have to battle with the awkward alignment. I recommend putting the 'Pixar' up the top, and perhaps centrally aligning and writing 'Pixar presents' instead? The blue tones ready very much as 'action' and give the poster a cold and clinical feel, whereas in the film there is a very deliberate contrast between the browns and yellows of old 'rusty' Wall-E and the new world of Eva — all clinical and white. So maybe play around with different gradient maps and colours? Perhaps something which is closer to Wall-E's colours? Anyway, all food for thought and things to experiment with.... Dom
