2-color travel palette

It seems every destination deserves its own palette! I haven’t tried this minimalist 2-color palette yet, but I’m going to give it a try next week on my vacation to Berlin. What I love about these two colors is how dark they can be, so the value range is great. Also, one is warm and the other cool.

I’ve used this Peerless watercolor palette in the past. These colors are so bright and versatile. These are concentrated dye-based colors dried on sheets. I cut out tiny squares and attach them to a laminated swatch sheet. I bring two of these sheets. I can use the one without the attached squares as a mixing surface. I always keep paper towels, stencils, and watercolor paper in this little folder.2-color travel palette - image 3 - student project2-color travel palette - image 4 - student project

I love to travel, but sometimes I wish I could just stay home and paint.
