I enjoyed painting these loose flowers—there’s so much joy in playing with color, and the glide of the brush is incredibly relaxing. I did notice, though, that water, while graceful, can also be unruly. What looked delicate in the moment sometimes wandered too far as it dried, leaving surprise blossoms where I hadn’t planned them.
