I took some photos at home to complete both projects. For one it is at F/8 1/100s everything in the photo is in focus.

For the second you can see I took a photo of a perfume bottle. It is perfectly in focus but the background is blurry at F5 1/250s ISO 1600.

Project 2

Here I used the faucet to show motion blur

 

ISO 1600, F/7.1, 1/15s the slow shutter speed allowed this one has nice soft motion blur

 

ISO 1600, F/4, 1/160s The faster shutter here was able to get the droplets of the water coming off.
