Composition in landscapes

Great helpful class! I would love any feedback on my photos.

These were all taken on a trip to the Canadian Rockies and Pursells in July. The cover image is a photo I love but may not follow any of the rules except perhaps the rule of thirds, where the subject is in the lower right target. I think it works because the subject is so close and sharp and tiny contrasting with the big field of pink flowers and the out-of-focus mountain landscape background.

This image has symmetry, the leading lines of the mountains, and sight lines/room to move in the subject. Do the rocks at the bottom constitute framing also? I put the subject in the center for a more formal feel, contrasting the natural environment. I like the blue of the sky duplicating in the blue of the subject’s shirt.

Here too are some leading lines and symmetry, and maybe the weight of the dark rock balancing the stream on the left and the off center puddle in the foreground. Simplicity too? The field of flowers is a uniform type and the color is somewhat duplicated in one of the parkas.

And finally, this one is big on framing and simplicity, and maybe pattern in the rock wall and tree branches.
