Painting skies has always been a challenge for me, so I was genuinely looking forward to this class as an opportunity to improve my technique. I particularly enjoyed exploring how to mix pastel colours and experiment with different combinations for sunsets, each evoking a unique mood.

Blending colours with a dry brush was a completely new approach for me. While I did my best to apply the technique, it’s clear that I need more practice before it feels natural.

I appreciated the structure of the class—starting with exercises made the process of working toward the final project feel much less intimidating. It gave me space to make mistakes and learn from them. For now, I’ve completed the exercises, and I plan to spend more time practicing before I share my final piece.
