Sometimes you do have issues with vendors not coming thru like they are suppose to. You have to always have a backup plan or be very quick on your feet and create a solution to the problem. 

I was in charge of a baby shower event and the bakery did not show up with the cake and I kept calling and calling and they did not answer. I had to call a friend to drive over to the bakery to see if anyone was there. When she got there it was locked with a sign on the door saying family emergency. The event was going to start in an hour. I had to think quick and had my friend drive over to the local grocery store and pick up a bunch of cupcakes. Herself and her mother who had some decorating skills redecorated the cupcakes to fit the baby shower theme and dropped them off as the guests were arriving!
