Thank you, Toby! I really enjoyed your approach to capturing a scene in this spontaneous watercolor class. My first painting ended up looking like a series of ships lined up along a dock, with a mountain landscape on the left and a blob on the right that turned into a tree. I wonder how random this outcome was, especially since I love painting mountainscapes; I'm curious about how much my muscle memory influenced it.

The second painting was based on a pre-planned idea, similar to what you did with a tree. Both paintings were fun to create, and I can see myself doing more of these as warm-up exercises before I start painting!
