I looked into a light tablet a few years ago and found them to be quite expensive. However, I was really happy to learn that costs have really come down over the last couple of years, and I was able to find a really good light tablet for less than $20.   Using the light tablet is my favorite method. My freehand drawing was not in proportion, which I’m sorry to say tends to be the case when I do free hand drawings. The second best method for me is transfer paper.  The third best for me is the grid method, and I liked the result, but I have to say it takes a long time to do it
