These are wonderful! And I love the idea of building the skill to capture the art of people you love. What an excellent motivation. These pictures are all wonderfully composed. You might find that your images will pop a little more if you increase the brightness when editing (so that the white areas get a little closer to true white).  For the reflections: I think you are right, they aren't distracting and they add a little pizazz, so there's no problem with leaving them in. If you did want to manage the light more, there are a few options: 1) Shoot on a more matte surface. I like bristol boards or mat board that I get from the art supply store. It's usually used to frame artwork, but it makes a great stiff/matte backdrop to shoot photos on. It's what I used here: <a href="https://www.skillshare.com/projects/661433" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">www.skillshare.com/projects/661433</a>2) 2) You could diffuse/filter the light so that you are less likely to get harsh light or shadow. I use a light reflector/bounce for that. I have one like this: <a href="https://www.skillshare.com/projects/661433" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">www.skillshare.com/projects/661433</a>. There's a cover that has gold, silver, and white (to reflect more light). When you remove the cover, there is a sheer panel of light that you can use to diffuse light.  3) Changing the angle of your camera. Usually, you want to shoot a flat lay as straight-on and top-down as you can manage, but shifting the angle a bit can help shift the reflections out of frame.  I hope that helps a little. I wanted to capture the art of my family. Although not entirely happy with the reflections in the cards it maybe that they add a bit of glitz to the gallery?
