I tried orchids and since I don't have black paper yet, I darkened the background a bit to help the watercolors pop. I'm not sure yet about the color choice for the background but overall, I am pleased with the result. I also ended up tracing over the edge of the petals since the white looked a bit odd with the bluish background. 

Can't wait to get some black paper and give this beautiful project another try. Thank you, Fio!
