Hello wonderful people,
and welcome to my latest drawing class. This time we’ll talk about
- how to make drawing process easier;
- how to progress drawing skills faster and
- generally have more fun drawing.
If this sounds interesting to you lets take a look at the introduction to the class and see you inside. :)
My name is Milan and if you don’t know me, let me tell you, I love drawing. I love making drawings, talking about them, seeing other people draw and finally share with others what I learned over the years. Still, I struggle with it from time to time. Even on my latest commission work I had few moments when I really had a hard time.
That made me think how should I make my process easier and started recalling all the advises that I picked up from other people but somehow forgot to use. Now that really made a difference and helped me finish the work on time. And also, I realized, what helped me, might help someone else as well to:
- find more joy in drawing;
- finish your work on time or just like me,
- recall things that you already knew but forgot to use.
So, in this class, no matter if you’re just starting your drawing journey or have years of experience I hope you’ll find something interesting. What I prepared are 10 tips that you should always keep in mind while drawing so your life could be much easier. Also, make sure to stick around until the end because after we’ve looked at all this I have an additional tip that you might use and a bonus set of fast exercises that will improve your line work.
Have a great day and welcome to the class. :)

I missed a previous few challenges but I made it as part of October publishing party challenge and I would like to thank all that supported me on this one. You are the greatest. :)
Here are Premium and FREE links for all of you who would like to check it out.
Have a nice day and happy creating,

Hello Skillshare,
Here is the latest update on the channel challenge:
New class is published on March 8. 2018.
Here is the link for all you who would like to take a look and/or leave a comment. Thank you for all your support and good luck with your classes and your channels.
Have a great day. :)
As a part of a new "Teachers to watch channel challenge" I just created an outline for a new class that I plan to publish in a month or less. Please feel free to take a look and or leave a feedback if you feel like doing so. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. :)
Here is the outline for completing the second milestone. More about the first one in the text below.
Joining this challenge will keep me on the track and not allow me to procrastinate. Also, with all the resources and community around the challenge I'll have a very good chance to create something good.
I've completed the first milestone for the challenge, and that is to create a personal channel vision. Here Is what I came up with:
Vision that I have for my SkillShare channel is to become a place where one can come and get the training to be better at drawing and painting, both traditional and digital. Classes will be mostly for beginner level students with a fewer number of intermediate level classes and a small number of classes for advanced students. I want to make classes focusing on skills that will engage students to take notes, make projects and come back to it whenever they need a refresher. The content of my channel should be clear in description and show that through exercising, training the skills of drawing and painting you can self improve to a level of professionals.
- How would you describe your skill-set or approach?
For a long time my main skills were about the use of traditional mediums such as oil paints, acrylics, pastel colors and watercolors to create artworks for galleries, personal projects, exhibitions and illustration jobs. In early 2014 more of my work became digital with a use Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Painter and other software for digital 2d art. Now I’m incorporating both traditional and modern mediums to get the best possible work both for me and my clients. That is what I’m trying to pass on to others.
- What topic areas have worked best so far?
So far, topic that worked the best was drawing.
- What does your student profile look like? Who is your target student/audience?
Mostly, my target audience is at beginner or early intermediate level. Still, in almost every class I have a part for more advanced students or for everyone who wants to take that extra step and advance some more.
- How do you want students to feel when taking your classes?
I want my students to be focused, take notes, draw along with me and try out for themselves what I’m describing them.
- What are a few words you want your audience to associate with your content?
Words that I want my audience to associate with my content are: clarity, persistence, focus, training, professionalism, self improvement.
See you all and good luck creating your own classes.

Thanks for all the suggestions and comment in this course, it was and still is a great learning tool for marketing on SkillShare. Thanks to this class I got over 320 students on one course and I started working on a new one -
Watercolor Painting: painting outdoors
Here are a few things that I've done so far:
I send free enrollment links for my first course to my friends and family and then made posts on Linked In, Tumblr and Tweeter explaining what this is all about and inviting people to take a look and then decide if they want to join the course.
I added text to cover image of the course to make bigger impact on the viewers.
Also I left notes on my intro video as suggested in this marketing course. Updating this project as well as the one in June challenge is something worth while doing. Remember to regularly check up on your course and leave comments if needed. Join different social media groups relevant to your class subject and share your work there. Be positive. :) :) :)
