The tiniest swatch on cotton muslin, first 2 rows single ply hand dyed, handspun silk, the rest 2 ply. Definitely 2ply or 3ply for the future mock up. Really happy with the lower contrast!

 

Your description were so clear that it was so easy to get the hang of it and understand once I started. Will definitely work a little neater in the future. The excitement got to me a little. 

 

Now to decide how much smocking on the front panels...

 

 

Cotton muslin mock up with a little smocking on the cuffs, this was quite a challenging as I'd done the smocking marks so neatly...but then hadn't attached the cuffs as neat as perhaps I could (my own doing) but I'm still happy with how wearable this will be for a trial and am so excited to progress.
