While riding in a car last September I quickly snapped a photo of this field. Clouds were gathering and some rain coming down. I loved the stormy sky and the colors of the farmer’s field. I decided to paint it using Gouache, watercolor, pen and ink and a little acrylic. I enjoyed this lesson because it has reenforced the important of doing a journal to sketch out my design ideas. Having it as a reference is an invaluable tool. It also helps me to take the time to ponder my final composition style before executing it.
