My poem: 

Step by step

It’s moving slowly

But way too fast

This walking past

The ones who passed

Their gravestones staring 

My heart is tearing

 

Step by step

But I don’t want to take another one

Because maybe

Just maybe

If I don’t take this step

You will come back?

 

Step by step 

We’re near the place

Where I have to leave you

And grieve too

Cuz I can’t reach you

Anymore

 

Step by step

Some words are spoken

The silence broken

Just like my heart

 

Step by step

The time is coming

I have to say goodbye

 

Step by step

Now back

All dressed in black

Because

We just buried you

 

Feelings: 

I am writing this poem shortly after leaving behind a close family member in the grave. In the poem, I'm writing about when we walked to the grave to bury her. During the process of writing this poem, I cried. I am having a hard time with my emotions, but writing this poem did really help me to just get it out and process the loss just a bit. It honestly felt great to be able to put this specific moment into words, it really helped me!

Questions: 
I kinda want to be able share all my poems, but at the same time I know I'm a bit insecure about my creative works and I'm scared if I put them online I will be even more insecure about them, especially when people are able to comment. Do you have any advice for this? Thanks in advance!
