I’m new to procreate and took this class to learn how to use it! I got a ton of great tips and tricks from watching this series and tried to apply everything to this first portrait.

I decided not to use the grid and instead used Gabrielle’s horizontal lines to place land marks which was super helpful. I’m weak with colors so I also skipped the color picker and practiced picking colors by observation. The skin was tough and I made the highlights too warm but it still came out better than I expected. I had some fun adding a little sky fill but tried to stay close to the ref. I did this study with the 6B pencil provided in the class resources and smudged as I went.
