Hi Ryunosuke! I just saw that ou did another attempt and I do think that you achieved a more balanced piece with a stronger focal point! The focus seems to really be on the petals and the peanuts, and the rest 'fades' into the background more, in a good sense! Great job and beautiful work!  Marie-Noëlle

Thank you:) I think that I didn't notice maany nuances that build visual interest in this image but I was trying to:) Maybe I will try one more time to see if I do better;)

I think you did a great job! Here's another little trick you could maybe try— only put detail on the parts that you find the most interesting/beautiful to look at. You kind of did that with the peanuts and the little flower petals on the left. But so if you wanted to make that pop even more, you could reduce the value shifts in the other parts (to the right of the peanuts, and the top left, so that you have a bigger contrast between the more detailed and less detailed parts.  Yes I would love to see how it turns out if you try to do it again! it looks like a fun subject to explore :) cheers!

Ooh good idea with details on those parts that I want to pop:) I kinda forgot that rule that the eye is drawn to contrast and details the most:) By value shifts you mean make them less saturated?

What I mean by value shifts is that if you put your whole image in black and white, you'll notice that in the right part of the bowl (right of the peanuts) there's a big 'variety' of different values (some much lighter, others darker), and if you make that area with only a single value instead, it'll reduce some of the visual 'complexity' meaning that the other parts (like the peanuts and petals) will pop more. Does that make sense? :)

Second version. I paintrd this still-life the cecond time using watercolors.
It is different but very similar so Idk if it is any better ;)
