Well i did buy the expensive pastelmat and pan pastel but the fish was with my cheap pastel sticks. I clearly did not cover the background properly with the pan pastel but this just an exercise.  He is trapped in a murky pond. To be honest I was not too thrilled with the pan pastel. I think i used wrong size applicator. I also dislike how you have to screw each pot on top the other. They do not have individual covers. Will be trying again when another project entices me.
