Three of my villains in this format

Exactly what the title says! I had these guys mostly worked out before watching this, but took this to flesh them out a bit more.

Chunks of lore and such will be missing because of the lack on unexplained context; if you'd like anything elaborated upon, ask.

These characters are planned to be video game characters! I would put my sketches of them in, but the photo won't go in haha.

I'aesara/Ghostie:

(eye-ay-sara)

Chaotic, unapologetic, amoral

A discarded concept, grown bitter from abandonment

They/them

Only about a meter tall, maybe a bit less

I'aesara was originally created by the Dreamer, aka the god of the unnamed fantasy world all these guys are in, to guide the protagonist through the world that they would be adventuring through. However, the concept was discarded and replaced with another character, Siffra. Despite all this, parts of the original concept's code, cast out into the void, lingered. These parts formed Ghostie, a force of pure chaos with the ability to manipulate code and a hunger to throw the Dreamer's perfect story askew. They guide the lost player through the world in place of Siffra, encouraging them to break the narrative as much as possible.

They believe that the Dreamer is an asshole of the highest order, and that anything that annoys or frustrates them is alright in their books, whether the action taken was good or bad. They also believe in nothing the player does matters or is even enjoyable without a struggle and effort to back it up, and never just lets them cheese it with their code-rewriting abilities.

Ghostie isn't, technically, inherently evil; they just have great potential to be. For example, they encourage the player to kill, but also to take detours on their quest to save the world to help their party members. As long as the narrative changes from what the Dreamer planned, they're happy. So... right down the middle, 5/10.

Unforgivable behaviours are a bit foggy because of this being a game, and the only really concrete thing they do is diverting the player from the protagonist of the game, the chosen one, Luce, into instead controlling a mundane party member, a 14-15-year-old Azlot (axolotl person) named Jazz. Depending on the players actions, Ghostie has the POTENTIAL to help you murder party members, lie about game mechanics to prevent you from taking the intended path, taunt Jazz as their body, unsuitable for possession, is taken over, and overall just break things. Because of all these actions depending on the players, Ghostie is arguably, at least action-wise, the least evil on this list.

Ghostie appears as an apparition to the player, floating around and giving advice. They typically dress in rather old-fashioned, feminine clothing, with a skirt, corset, and boots. Due to being made up of scattered concepts and ideas, they appear sketch-like within the world, and never have any colour, with the details of their clothes constantly shifting. They also appear glitched. The only thing that really stays the same is the general look of their face; curly hair, wide eyes, 'rosy' (note: this is still in black and white) cheeks, and wide eyes.

They speak quite polite and formally, though it's dropped the second they get emotional.

Woof, that was longer then I expected.

The Queen:

(She has a proper name beyond her title, I just haven't come up with it yet!)

Angry, devoted, determined

The queen of Emberhaze, trying to conquer all five kingdoms.

She/it (she/her pronouns will be used throughout this description for clarity, but it/its and she/her can be used interchangably)

Around 1.6 meters tall

23-ish

The queen was an orphan, living on the streets of Emberhaze's capital, having seen the worst the world had to offer and six foot deep into her belief that the world was a cruel, heartless place. Until, a mix-up of sorts lead her into meeting the princess, the sole heir to the throne, and the two absolutely fell in love. Everything went smoothly; the princess's family loved the feisty, snappy orphan their daughter had found and took her in without question, things were finally going right for a change! Until when the two were about seventeen, when the princess was involved in an incident involving a buggy wall, and clipped into it. The queen managed to pull her out, but not before her code had been severely damaged. To the princess's dismay, no one but the queen could see her, or even remember she existed. The queen, enraged and determined to end her beloved's suffering, started studying, until she eventually found a legend that foretold that when times of great crisis overtook the kingdoms, the ancient god that crafted this world by hand would reach down and gift the world with a divine beast that would set the world, and all the shattered code, right. So she started planning, studying code and how to break it, until finally, she overthrew the king and queen and announced she'd be conquering the world, unleashing entities known as 'glitches' onto the world, normal people that have had their code mangled and twisted, that can damage the code of those caught in their jaws. Now, she sits atop her stolen throne, awaiting the promised champion who would come to reset the code of the princess.

The queen is fully aware that what she's doing is not right, but doesn't care because she believes that everything in this world but her lover is vile and evil, and she's saving the only person worthy of good.

She acts as the main antagonist of the game, the dragon atop it's spire to be slain. Due to her motivations being to fix the princess, I'd give her a solid 6-7/10 on the evil scale.

Unforgivable behaviours include overthrowing the princess's parents, unleashing an army of glitches onto the world, invading and conquering the kingdom of Starcard, with intentions to continue onto all other kingdoms.

She is a Vulago (arctic fox person), and is very thin and sharp-looking with pretty rough and bristly fur. She wears the golden crown of Emberhaze, with a sealskin dress embodied with forget-me-nots.

She is formal, feisty and quite aggressive.

King Apex:

Arrogant, extravagant, corrupt

The king of Aetherglory

He/him

About 2 metres tall

30-ish

Simply the vain king of Aetherglory; Aetherglory's monarchy has been corrupt for a long, long time now. Apex is just another perpetuating the cycle of greed, negligence and hunger for bloody entertainment.

Believes he is above all others, and that he deserves everything because he is the blood of the god of the skies' chosen ruler. Looks down upon the other kingdoms/races, especially the Otokhi (bat people) because of the favour of the god of skies, and believes Aetherglory is the best of the five.

He's probably the most evil character in the whole story. He's an asshole. 10/10.

Unforgivable behaviours include being a negligent king, running and actively endorsing a colosseum where participants fight to the death for his own entertainment, being a racist asshole, and trying to stop the party from reaching Emberhaze to stop the queen should the decide to pass through Aetherglory instead of the neutral territories.

I haven't really decided what he looks like yet. He's an avian (so a bird person), but that's about all I've decided.

He's incredibly rude and dismissive, but also incredibly over-the-top and extravagant.
