When I saw this pattern, I thought it would look great on placemats--especially since my dishes have a zig zag pattern.  Unfortunately, this project took a VERY long time to complete and as much as I enjoyed it, having it finished is a relief!  I am also including a picture of the little sample piece that I did in class.
