Create A Winter Scene In Watercolour
Winter scene, Watercolour; using wet-in-wet technique on pre stretched paper. I stretched the paper by wetting the paper on both sides. This has been the most successful way to paint without the paper buckling or warping.
Keeping a close eye on how much water to use has also been beneficial to avoid any blooms or back runs. Although the outcome can be something I didn't expect initially, understanding the paper and water-pigment ratio has helped me to tackle the watercolour problems that usually arise.
Here's another painting from the series 'Winter Scene' done using the same techniques.
