It's a simple still life, which is a reproduction of a photograph. First, I sketched it out in pencil. Then I started on the background using the wet-on-wet technique. As you can see, the masking tape has become my enemy. I feel like I didn't manage to give the teapot the right volume, and I'm not happy with the shadows either. The chess pieces are still just a sketch. But I'm happy because it's my first completed project. Lastly, I ask for some grace with the final result since I'm colorblind and got help choosing the colors. I really want to thank Nikki Hess because her lessons have been super helpful.
