It is made clear that that the silence is a  result of the outrage from the fans at the Fuβall-Bund’s position in the standoff between the governing body and the various supporter groups. More detail is given to the extent that some teams are going to protest such as refusing to “chant, sing, drum or support in any audible way.”  We are also given more context that this occurred in the first week of the season which has mid-week fixtures too. Also, we learn that this has happened in many other stadiums which adds to the “where”

The talking points would relate to the bottom section of the inverted pyramid as it is an additional comment. The talking points are not directly related to the news article but they are there to keep the reader on their site.

 

Question 4

The quotes had a strong impact on the article as it helped to display how angry the fans were feeling which bought it to life a bit more. The quote taken from the handmade sign by the fan’s states “you will hear from us, or not.” This was a good quote to choose as the imperative of will gives the impression of certainty and promise but it is immediately contrasted by ‘or not.’  The quotes chosen contained intense adjectives to describe the fans emotions on how they viewed the situation and what they thought of it such as “torn” and “greed.”
