I was really surprised with myself on this tutorial.  I wasn't sure I was going to do all that well, but I feel fairly comfortable with how this turned out!  

 

I really like starting with the eyes and nose.  It somehow gives the painting purpose from the onset.  Other animal turorials I have followed do the eyes at the end, and I much prefer starting with the small details like the eyes.  

 

I ended up fussing too much at one point and 'ruining' something I had done well on the face....so I took a break and came back and slowly lifted some color, and blurred other lines which I felt were too harsh.

 

I'm really happy!  The class was great.  It was my first class with this teacher.  I love her class format, her descriptions of action steps.  I can't wait to do more.
