Hi, thank you for taking this class and uploading your work to share with us. Your painting has worked well, you have great mark-making with your pen, lots of movement and character. I particularly like the drawing of the stones and the subtlety of their shadows. I love the moody sky, it feels like it is just about to rain. With regard to colour mixing, less is often more. If you mix too many colours together, they soon appear "muddy" and lose crispness and vibrancy. I would recommend only ever mixing two or three colours together at the most. Some colours are lovely straight from the palette, whereas others need mixing. For example, the palette greens are sometimes "too" green and need a dash of red adding. The earth colours such as ochre and sienna are nice as they are. In landscapes, the colours I mix most are the browns and greys, made from mixing the three primaries. Finally, by using a palette to mix your paint, you are more in control of the amount of water being used and the strength of the mix. I hope that helps, thank you.
