Simple but detailed

I worked with a colored pencil (by Bardot Brush) for the first time in procreate. So I cheated a little and smudged with a grainy shader I made myself instead of blending like with normal colored pencils.

I wanted the dark background, so I made a white layer under my drawing. I tried Gaussian blur on that for the first one and liked the dreamy effect it created, so I used it for all drawings.

After being finished I wasn‘t happy with my two flowers, so I reworked them a little.

Still I think this style/technique I used doesn’t work very well for blossoms - but that’s a learning, too :)

I enjoyed the treasure hunts, and also put some older photos I took in there. But in the end I used only new ones as reference.

So, now for the pics :D

I really liked this class, tried a new technique and also learned some new tricks (like pulling a layer into the reference window - so useful!).

Thank you, Thais!
