Day One
So today was my day one of the poetry challenge. It was honestly a little rougher than I thought it would be just to even start. Crazy thing is I had two potential themes. But because of a past traumatic event of me losing five years of poetry and stories that I wrote during the most crucial and one of the hardest times of my life, I had a hard time just starting the timer. Luckily, I did start it and it wasn't as horrible as I was dreading. I definitely made progress and there's a start to a decent poem at least, I think. I joined because for the last twenty years I've been in a serious writer's block. I've dabbled here and there but nothing with real substance or feeling. So that's why I figured this course would be perfect for me to start with.
