To bring out the oriental inspiration of the stitch, I created a notebook using a combination of paper and fabric with flower and gold leaf details. Since the notebook is long on the sides, I added a wide colored rubber band to prevent the notebook from opening.

I was a little confused at the first time, but it looks pretty after making it. I like this unique bookbinding stitch technique.
